Babe in Prada? Cliche.  And I don’t wear it.
Christianity and the City? Another cliche.  And so overused.
Christianity in High Heels.  Cliche.

Clearly, I’m not too good with titles.  I never had good titles in my poems.  But I thought that this best sums it up.

I’m a Christian woman who loves to wear these nice, strappy heels.  I also love wedges.  I destroy most of my shoes just by walking in them, but I always patch things up in my walk with the Lord.

You probably have seen a lot of these chick literature before — Jewish women on Jewish men and (doh!) Judaism, Indian women and the Hindu faith, ever famous Amy Tan on Chinese women and their beliefs on luck, Buddhism and marriage.  You have, have you?  Or you have just watched movies about them at least!

So why did I choose this title?  Well, it’s more than being the anti-Cosmo and the Vogue cover model with a Bible.  (At least I hope.) I’d really want it to be more about an awakening to all women who want the best things for their lives, want to see the world, want to fall inlove and want to wear high heels.

Basically, being a Christian actually gives you a lot of liberties.  Jesus already set you free!  While we must deny the world and its pleasures, it doesn’t mean that we will have to give up our individual personalities.

A peaceful life does not mean a boring life.  If we are the ’salt and light of the World,’ we are here to show them all what it’s like to live in the light.  It’s lovely in the light!  We must go out and show ourselves in the light!  Not tuck ourselves in a dark tower and fully cover our bodies.

So here it begins.  My life, Christianity in high heels.  I can’t live without them.
